Pioneer Basketball Club's Miniball is for kids who are Year 3&4. It is held in Terms 1 and 4 and each team plays 6 games per competition.
Mouthguards are compulsory: No mouthguard No play. Policy set by BBNZ. We will have these for sale $5 each at competition night.
2024 - Term 1
Our miniball is a modified version of regular basketball. Teams play 4v4 on smaller hoops with smaller balls. We also use coloured wristbands to encourage defensive development among other modified rules.

WEDNESDAY Year 3 and 4 Open
- Dates: 21st February, 6th, 13th, 27th March, 10th April (5 Weeks due to Court Space)
Time: 3:30pm-7:30pm
THURSDAY Year 3 and 4 Open
- Dates: 22nd, 29th February, 7th, 28th March, 4th April (5 Weeks due to Court Space)
Time: 3:30pm-6:00pm
Location: Pioneer Stadium, 75 Lyttelton St, Somerfield
Grades
- Please rank your teams from 1 - 5 in the registration form so that we have a good idea of where to place them in terms of pools (1 = Begginner, 5 = Rep player)
