U13 Summer Skills - T1 2024

The U13 Summer Skills program is open to players born in 2011, 2012, and 2013 who played for Pioneer in 2023 or are keen to play for the club in 2024 in an 13U/15U/16U team or trial for an SIPT team. 

The skills program focuses on individual skills based on BBNZ age and stage appropriate models and CBA Style of Play.

Coaches

We are incorporating a coach development opportunity into the programs. All coaches who are interested in giving coaching a go or coach a senior club team this season are encouraged to attend the sessions. Complete coach development will be offered by a trained coach developer and some special guests including: facilitating drills and games as head and assistant coaches, session planning, behaviour management, question based learning, games based approach and much more!

Players

Players will have an opportunity to learn individual skills in an encouraging and challenging environment. Because this is a short term program, the focus for the 6 weeks is on individual game skills. Coaches and staff will touch on training habits but will not be focused on due to the time frame. Coaches will work with players to develop ball handling, shooting, defensive, rebounding and passing skills. 

The program is designed for players wishing to better their skills over summer in preperation for 2024 team trials. 

Details

Girls and boys sessions for players born in 2011, 2012 & 2013

Monday afternoons: 19th, 26th Feb, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March

Girls: 4pm-5pm

Boys: 5pm-6pm

Location: West Spreydon School (outdoor court)

Cost: $30 per player
